Courtesy Visit to the Hungarian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, 8 January 2024 - LSBIM paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Hungary, Kuala Lumpur to improve the understanding of board members regarding the services provided by the Embassy. The visit to the Embassy was welcomed by Mr. Gabor Kozma, Head of the Economic Section and Mr. Sashvin Raj, Assistant of the Economic Section. The embassy functions as diplomatic missions representing their country's interests abroad, cultural understanding and education, consular services, looking after the Hungarian community living in Malaysia and more.

During the information session that was presented, there were various inputs received, especially the Hungarian Embassy's consular services to Hungarian citizens. It takes very good care of Hungarians living in Malaysia. This includes visa processing, passport renewal, assistance in emergency cases and other services related to consular needs. In addition, the Hungarian Embassy also provides information about Hungarian culture and educational opportunities in the country. The Hungarian Embassy also offers scholarships to students in Malaysia who want to further their studies in Hungary. Usually, students choose to continue their studies in Hungary in the field of IT and programming, which reflects Hungary's attractiveness in the field of information technology and innovation.

LSBIM representatives, Dr. CM Kong, National President, and Ms. Alice Wong Kim Yoke, Vice President, have explained the profile of the organization and the activities carried out to help the community. Not forgetting that this Honorable Visit has reached an agreement of cooperation between LSBIM and the Hungarian Embassy for all the events and programs that will be held after this visit.
