LSBIM ACTIVITY [32] — 26 JAN 2024
China-ASEAN Belt and Road Youth Cooperation and Development Trip Program
Johor Bahru, 26 January 2024 - A China-ASEAN Belt-and-Road Youth Cooperation and Development Visit Program was held in Forest City, Johor Bahru, today. The China-ASEAN Belt and Road Youth Cooperation and Development Trip program is an important activity that aims to increase cooperation and development among young leaders, especially in the academic, political, and economic fields. This program represents a collaborative effort between Tsinghua University Student Association of Belt and Road initiative (SABRI) and Tsinghua University Student Association of China-ASEAN (THUCA). This program has taken place from January 21, 2024 starting in Jakarta, Indonesia, then in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and ending in Singapore on January 31, 2024. The itinerary includes company visits, organizational visits and university collaborations in these locations aimed at providing industry exposure who is visionary and fosters cooperation in the future.
The main focus of this program is to strengthen the relationship between Southeast Asia and China in three aspects:
1. Academic - this program helps promote educational exchange and collaboration among young leaders from China and Asian countries. In addition, the program serves as an important platform to foster cooperation, understanding and dialogue between universities and young leaders in the region and share knowledge, research and academic resources to improve mutual understanding.
2. Political Outlook - this program can strengthen diplomatic and political ties between young leaders from China and Southeast Asian countries and provide a platform for open dialogue on important regional issues and concerns. it also promotes a shared understanding of political systems and governance practices to build a foundation for future cooperation.
3. Economic Relations - this program can strengthen economic cooperation and trade relations between Southeast Asia and China. besides being able to explore investment opportunities and business partnerships among young entrepreneurs and discuss policies and strategies to improve economic integration and sustainable development in the region.
This program is focused on the initiative theme of "one belt, one road" by focusing on 4 areas namely:
1. Manufacturing
2. Green Industry
3. Digital Innovation
4. Education Industry

Not to be left out is the representative of LSBIM, the National President Dr. CM Kong and Mr Tee Yee Chong, Vice President for International Exco, explained the profile and activities of LSBIM. Not forgetting also the Representative from MBIP, Mr Chang Swee Meng, Council Member, Iskandar Puteri City Council and the Representative from Forest City, Mr Tee Jian Jin, Sales Development Manager, Forest City who completed this program. Overall, the China-ASEAN Belt and Road Youth Cooperation and Development Trip serves as a driving force to build comprehensive and collaborative relationships among young leaders in academic, political and economic fields.
